Medicare
Rheann is a Medicare approved non directive perinatal counsellor. This means she is able to provide counselling sessions to eligible parents at a reduced fee.
Eligibility
You may be eligible to claim a Medicare rebate for counselling sessions at Rheann Kennedy Perinatal Grief and Loss Counselling. Click here for further information Medicare Benefits Scheme
Eligibility for rebates is determined by Medicare and are as outlined below:
MBS item 93026; Services provided by an eligible psychologist, social worker or mental health nurse by telehealth or videoconference.
This service may be used to address any pregnancy related issues for which non directive counselling is appropriate. Your partner may attend the appointment but only one Medicare fee is attracted.
You must be pregnant at the time of counselling or have been pregnant in the past 12 months (whether this be full term, part term, or experienced a pregnancy termination).
Medicare rebates are available for three sessions per pregnancy
The current rebate is approximately $70.85
You will need to obtain the GP referral before the appointment.
Please ask you GP to complete a referral for ‘Non Directive Pregnancy Support Counselling’ Item Number 93026. This referral can be emailed to info@rheannkennedy.com.au
Alternatively you can ask your GP to complete the Referral Template and email it to info@rheannkennedy.com.au
At the time of booking you will pay the full fee and then Rheann Kennedy Perinatal Grief and Loss Counselling will submit an invoice to Medicare on your behalf. If approved by Medicare, the rebate will appear in your nominated bank account
